Actionable insights on Optimization for sustainable logistics on post-Covid times in Vietnam
Nuffic Neso Vietnam would like to express our appreciation for the participants and guests of honor for their huge contribution to an engaging seminar “Optimization for sustainable logistics on post-covid times” on Thursday 12th November 2020 at Liberty Saigon Riverside Hotel. The event is commenced by the opening speech from Dr. Carel Richter- Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh and Mrs. Ngoc Vi Nguyen – Chief Representative Officer from Nuffic Neso Vietnam. The Consul General emphasized the strong relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands for development and growth, in various fields particularly logistics. Following up on the opening speech, Mr. Duncan Drew Managing Director from DHL Supply Chain Vietnam gave valuable insights on the enhanced logistics journey of DHL Supply Chain in dealing and tackling Coronavirus. From the original supply chain, DHL has to adapt and adjust in a timely matter to social distancing and isolation. Post-covid19, there are many lessons learned in terms of innovation and efficiency in logistics. Further notes on technology application for optimization in sustainable logistics, Mr. Daniel Albrecht – Delivery Lead for APAC from Royal Haskoning DHV Digital based in Singapore presented virtually innovative solutions as a predictive simulation to answer what-if questions in uncertain times. After the informative explanation on how to apply predictive simulation from Royal Haskoning DHV Digital representative, the panel discussion took places with 4 panelists presented Mr. Duncan Drew -DHL Supply Chain Vietnam, Mr. Long Pham – CEO/Founder ABIVIN Limited Company Vietnam, Ms. Lien Phan-CEO E.Saigon Import Export Limited Company and Mr. Daniel Albrecht- Royal Haskoning DHV Digital virtually.Besides challenges and opportunities shared by our panelists who have been working in the logistics industry, there are many intriguing questions raised by the audience with different perspectives mostly focused on the details of optimization for sustainable logistics post-covid times.
