Amsterdam marks place 6 in the Safe Cities index

Amsterdam was placed number six in the 2017 Safe Cities Index. Following Tokyo, Singapore, Osaka, Toronto and Melbourne, Amsterdam is the safest European city.

The report was published by the Economist and can be read in full on the magazine's website.

Amsterdam makes the top 10 in most of the sub-categories, like infrastructure safety, digital safety and personal safety, as well as overall, leaving other European cities like Stockholm, Zurich, Frankfurt and Madrid far behind it.
