New fees and income requirements for knowledge migrants and others as of 1 January 2019

Career in Holland



With effect from 1 January 2019, the fees have been increased by 1.7%. In addition, a number of fees have been reduced. The reduced fees are related to EU directives.

The fees are indexed annually on the basis of the index of negotiated wages as calculated by Statistics Netherlands.

From 1 January 2019, the current fees can be found in this overview.

The income requirements for 2019 have been published in the Government Gazette. As of 1 January 2019, the following wage criteria are applicable:

Highly skilled migrants 30 years or older
€ 4.500
Highly skilled migrants younger than 30 years
€ 3.299
Highly skilled migrants following an orientation year for highly educated persons, or without an orientation year permit within 3 years after graduating or work as a scientific researcher
 € 2.364

EU Blue Card

€ 5.272

These are the gross amounts per month, exclusive of 8% holiday pay.
