Summary

I am passionate about agriculture and soil sciences. Contribute to a more sustainable/circular agriculture is my career goal.

I did my bachelor studies in Peru in Agroforestry Engineering. And I have a Master of Science degree from Wageningen University in Plant Science (specialisation: Natural Resource Management).

Since my bachelor studies, I've been always interested in research and development in the agricultural sector. As an undergraduate, in 2012/2013, I wrote and published the manuscript “Carbon Storage in Peru’s Tropical Highlands” focused on the assessment of the total ecosystem carbon stock in a Polylepis incana woodlands.

Before starting the master, I worked for a year at the National Institute of Agricultural Innovation (INIA) in Peru, engaging small farmers in the market by strengthening their agronomic skills. And two years in the academic field as coordinator of academic projects, and of the educational outreach of the environmental faculty, as well as laboratory assistant of botany at Cientifica del Sur University.

In 2016, I achieved a NUFFIC scholarship to start my master studies. As part of the master, I did my MSc. thesis at the International Centre of Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Colombia, wherein I studied the soil organic matter dynamics in tropical pasture systems using a set of laboratory techniques.

In 2018 as a master student, I have participated in two European projects H2020: IWMPRAISE focused on mental model analysis on farmers decision making regarding weed management. And LANDMARK 2020, as part of my internship, in which I did fieldwork, collected data from farmers of soil management and compiled information in a database.

Now, I am looking for new opportunities and challenges in life. I am good at planning and organizing and excellent in field and lab work, good communication skills (English, Spanish). Easy to adapt to group work or individual.
