From September 2010 to Today
I received a BSc. Degree in Forestry and Natural Resources from Hawassa University, Ethiopia in 2010. I also received MSc. Degree in Environmental Science (Climate Change) from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in 2014. Most recent of my educational credential is MSc. Degree in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente, Faculty of Geo-Information and Earth Observation (ITC), The Netherlands in 2017. Currently, I am a Geospatial (GIS and Remote Sensing) professional and working as Lecturer and Researcher at Dilla University of Ethiopia since 2010. I am also working as a GIS and Remote Sensing consultant at different Governmental and International NGO's. My current research and consultant interest is Geo-Information and Earth Observation / GIS and Remote Sensing applications (low to very high-resolution satellite images, LiDAR technologies (ALS and TLS), Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and mapping) in natural resources, environment, and agricultural monitoring, and various GIS and Remote Sensing technical applications in natural resources aiming at reducing uncertainty and supporting decision-making.
