Amsterdam4Talents is a joint initiative of de VU, UvA, INAmsterdam, the Holland Alumni Network, HvA and InHolland to help International Talent orientate and prepare for the Dutch job market. It takes place in the Week of the International Student in which we give International Students a place in the spotlight. We celebrate this week every year around the Day of the International Student (17 November). This year the week takes place from 12 - 18 November. Parallel to the workshops a Holland Career Café will take place in which you can talk to Holland Career Ambassadors about their experiences on how to prepare and find a job in the Netherlands.

Every workshop will be given once in each round.
A. Doing an internship - Marie-Elise van de Hoek Ostende (Career advisor), UvA Career Centre
In this session you will learn what internships are and what the benefits of doing an internship are. Also, you will learn what steps need to be taken when search for an internship, how you can make the most of your internship and what is important to do after the internship.
B. Personal branding & Pitch like a pro - Marlotte van Herksen (Advisor, Career and Personal Development), Nyenrode Business University
This workshop is about Personal Branding and career development. It is about the importance of having a career path and a personal brand. I guide the audience to create/develop their own brand and how to use it. Moreover, I let them experience how to pitch themselves. This could be really valuable for network events and/or job interviews.
C. Staying options: orientation year and start-up regulation - Femke van der Bosch (International officer immigration), VU Amsterdam
This workshop addresses the staying options for non-Europeans regarding their immigration scheme. Learn all about what procedure fits your ambitions, and how to go about!
D. Intercultural competencies

E. International Job Market and Ecosystem in Amsterdam - Rita Molenkamp-Szucs (Policy advisor economy / business climate international talent), InAmsterdam & Alexandra Belicova (Marketing & Communications), StartupAmsterdam
"Working in Amsterdam: overview of the international labor market and the startup ecosystem. With special guests.” The Amsterdam Area is home to about 3000 international companies and many startups. In this session you will learn about job opportunities within key economic sectors of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
