Alumni of Leiden University are invited to this years' Cleveringa Lecure at the Ambassadors Residence in Mexico City on Monday 26 November at 19:00h. This year Prof. Michel Oudijk will talk about 'Investigations of Colonial Indigenous Documents'. Please confirm your attendance by e-mail to mex-embpaisesbajos@minbuza.nl.About the Cleveringa LectureOn 26 November 1940 professor Cleveringa stood in front of a packed Great Auditorium and denounced the dismissal of his Jewish colleagues. Alumni all over the world commemorate this brave protest speech by attending the yearly Cleveringa Meetings, organised by Leids Universiteits Fonds in cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico.
