Drinks for Humanities Alumni in Brussels

Save the date! On the day that Leiden University celebrates its 444th birthday (‘Dies’), we’re organizing drinks for our alumni in Brussels. Together with Dr. Maxine David and Dr. Matthew Broad, we would like to welcome you to our alumni event. Dr. David and Dr. Broad will both give a short lecture. After that, there’s plenty of time for networking drinks, meeting old friends and making new ones. We would love to meet you on February 8!

Work visit at NATO

On February 8, in the afternoon, there will also be a work visit at NATO’s Headquarters. There is room for a maximum of ten alumni from the Faculty of Humanities (and ten students).

The permanent Dutch NATO representative will be happy to receive us. Mr Eric Povel (Leiden University alumnus of Legal Political Sciences) will introduce his work at NATO and then two delegation employees will explain the Dutch dossiers, the collaborative relationship with The Hague and the organisation of the permanent representatives themselves. The working visit will take approximately 2 hours.

The working language during this meeting is English. Would you like to join us at this visit? Please indicate so on the form. Please note that places are limited and will be determined by drawing lots in case of great interest. You will be notified no later than January 14th.

Details and registration

Details regarding location and how to register will follow soon on the website.

Want to make sure to receive an invitation by e-mail? Use the form to update your information!

PS. We will leave no stones unturned in sending e-mails and contacting alumni, nevertheless, it will be highly appreciated if you also remind your Leiden alumni friends from the Humanities faculty in and around Brussels not to miss this wonderful opportunity!
