In line with the Dutch Placement Days and European Higher Fair, the Holland Alumni Receptions return this year in four cities: Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Yogyakarta.
In Bandung, it will be organised on:
Wednesday, 7 November 2018
19.00 - 21.00
(registration starts at 18.00)
Courtyard by Marriott
Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda (Dago) No. 33
Taman Sari, Bandung
The theme for this year’s Holland Alumni Reception is “Sustainable Communities for Circular Economy”. Unlike the Linear Economy approach: take resources, make product and dispose of any waste; products and services using a Circular Economy approach are traded in closed loops or ‘cycles’, aimed at re-using resources and minimising waste. A Circular Economy promotes long-life products and sustainability, and the Netherlands is at the forefront of developing a Circular Economy.
To achieve a Circular Economy requires interdisciplinary expertise. The Holland Alumni Network is a vast community with members from very diverse academic backgrounds and professional expertise, and the Holland Alumni Reception 2018 is a good opportunity for alumni to (re-)connect with fellow alumni, Dutch higher education institutions, and the corporate sector. This can lead to many possibilities in developing interdisciplinary ideas, which may contribute towards a Circular Economy in Indonesia.
Through the Holland Alumni Reception 2018, alumni will also be encouraged to become more involved in alumni activities associated with sharing of knowledge and expertise, in support of a strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Indonesia and the Netherlands.
