Mate & Chocolate: Conference of Professional Networks from Argentina and Mexico

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic and the Embassy of Mexico have the honour to extend a cordial invitation to the Conference “Mate y Chocolate” which is being organized by the Network of Argentine Scientists and Researcher in the Netherlands and the Mexican Talent Network in the Netherlands (chapter Netherlands of the Global Network MX), on Friday, 10th May 2019 from 17:00 to 20:00hs at the Amsterdam Science Park (Room C0.110, Science Park 904, 1098 XH, Ámsterdam).

The event will include various presentations about different research projects carried-out by Argentinian and Mexican professionals in the Netherlands, and it will culminate with a reception offered by both Embassies. Enclosed herewith is additional information about the program, keynote speakers and topics of the presentations, which will be held in English to allow a larger participation. 

The Network of Argentine Scientists and Researchers was created within the framework of the Argentine initiative “Programa Raíces”. The main objective of Raíces is strengthening the capabilities of national scientific research abroad throughout the constitution of different networks of Argentine professionals worldwide. In relation with the Network in the Netherlands (it counts with 90 members), it must be informed that it has been officially recognize by the Secretary of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of the Argentine Republic, on April 18th, 2018. Besides, the Network has its own Statute in which different Committees were created (Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities & Art). 

As well, the Global Network of Qualified Mexicans Abroad (Global Network MX), is a network of networks that aims to unite Mexican talent and use it in favour of the country’s development, promoting projects in 4 main areas: academy, science and technology; entrepreneurship and innovation; creative industries; and social responsibility. Moreover, the Global Network MX contributes to position the Mexican diaspora in their countries of residence and to promote the overall image of Mexico in the world. The Mexican Talent Network in the Netherlands (chapter Netherlands of the Global Network MX) was created in 2011 and constituted as a non-profit civil society association in 2014.
