Nuffic and Nuffic Neso South Africa, the Holland Alumni network - in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - are proud to announce the first edition of the Orange Knowledge exchange series on the nexus between Water, Food Security and Energy in Pretoria, South Africa.
As a valued alumnus/alumna and scholarship recipient of the Orange Knowledge Programme, Netherlands Fellowship Programme or Niche Programme you have been preselected for the first edition of the Orange Knowledge Exchange Series on the nexus between Water, Food Security and Energy at the Future Africa Campus of the University of Pretoria, South Africa, from 3 until 5 September 2019.
This event is an initiative of Nuffic, the Holland Alumni network and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its aim: to create a regional platform to develop capacity in the selected thematic areas and to foster networking and stimulate collaboration between alumni, sector specific stakeholders, knowledge institutions and governmental bodies.
During the event we will take a closer look at the environmental challenges and opportunities for sustainable development in the southern regions of the African continent, with a focus on South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania. Besides sharing and gaining knowledge in the set areas of expertise, participants will also acquire skills in science communication and social media and be inspired by relevant site visits in the surrounding area.
We are working on an interesting, interactive and fun programme which will include:
- Local and international keynote speakers on water, food security and energy;
- Thematic interactive discussions and workshops on theme-specific and more general topics;
- Site visits to projects and institutions in the area;
- Networking and socialising with like-minded professionals.
Since only a limited number of alumni can participate in the event, Nuffic will make a selection based on your professional experience and motivation for participation as well as a proportional distribution of participants according to country of residence and gender. The outcome of the selection cannot be disputed.
Alumni of the OKP, NFP and Niche programmes as well as representatives of TVET and Higher Education Institutions, Dutch and local businesses in related fields and governmental representations are invited to apply via the link to the online registration form below:
The deadline for application was Monday 22 July at 23.00 CET.
