River Flow 2020: 10th Conference on Fluvial Hydraulics

The registration deadline has expired.

From 7 to 10 July 2020, the 10th International Conference on Fluvial Hydraulics "River Flow 2020," will take place. This conference series, the most influential river event in the world, has been organized under the auspices of The International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) since 2002. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this event will be held online.

We are organizing this event together with partners Delft University of Technology, Deltares and Rijkswaterstaat. IHE Delft's academic staff members Mario Franca, Professor of Hydraulic Engineering for River Basin Development, and Alessandra Crosato, Associate Professor of River Morphology and River Engineering, are members of the organizing committee of River Flow 2020.

The conference themes relate closely to the research undertaken in the River Basin Development chair group at IHE Delft, and more specifically in the research line of the natural environment. This research line includes related subjects such as 'sediment management at the basin scale', 'processes of sediment entrainment, transport and deposition' and 'river engineering and morphodynamics'.

Register via www.riverflow2020.nl to get access to the digital environment of the conference from July 6 on. Your registration will also provide:

  • Access to the digital proceedings (the volume issued by Taylor and Francis containing (>300) full papers and extended abstracts)
  • Access to the online content (we cannot guarantee that all contributions in the program will have online content, besides the proceedings)
  • Participation in online discussion forums per session
  • Participation in online masterclasses (only for admitted delegates)

The material will be available starting the week of the conference on July 6.
