Hallo Sinterklaas, goeiedag roetveegpiet!
Nuffic Neso Russia warmly invites you to attend our Sinterklaas celebration on 13 December at 19.00.
Sinterklaas couldn't miss the chance to come back to Russia. Accompanied by his indispensable helpers Petes, Sint will arrive from the Netherlands to greet all guests, listen to songs and poems, play special Sinterklaas games and, of course, hand out lovely presents (Sint keeps track of those who are active and well-behaved ;))!
To put you in the holiday spirit, we will show you the Dutch movie “Midden in De Winternacht”, a family film about friendship, Christmas and mysteries. It tells a story of a boy named Max who is upset that his father won't be home for Christmas. Suddenly a large talking moose crashes through the roof of his garage and claims to have fallen from Santa's sleigh! The moose needs the boy's help to find Santa, otherwise nobody will receive their Christmas gifts. Is Max able to get Mr. Moose and Santa flying again?
We will start our evening with welcome drinks. After the movie guests will be treated to some tasty appetizers. You will also have a chance to take a photo with Sinterklaas himself!
Would you like to immerse into Dutch traditions? Sinterklaas has also prepared a poetry competition for you! The winners will receive special Dutch prizes. Read more about it below.

Sinterklaas poem competition
One tradition associated with Sinterklaas celebrations is the writing of a Sinterklaas poem. This poem “should” be kind in tone, but there is room to poke fun at the individual’s bad habits or character quirks. And, yes, your poem must rhyme. The typical rhyming scheme of a Sinterklaas poem is A, A, B, B.
How to participate in the competition:
Write a Sinterklaas poem and send it to email@example.com with “Sinterklaas poem competition” as a subject no later than 12 December.
a. The poem should not be more than 8 lines long
b. It should contain the following words: Nuffic Neso Russia, Sinterklaas, Piet
c. The poem can be written in Russian, Dutch or English (Sinterklaas is very good at languages)
d. You should be registered on the hollandalumni.nl.
The winner will be announced by Sinterklaas himself during our celebration!
We are looking forward to celebrating with you! :)
