Amsterdam is increasingly popular among foreign students. Amsterdam’s universities and colleges have about 25% more foreign students this year than they did last year. The wide range of English language bachelor and master programmes offered by Amsterdam schools plays a large role in these growing numbers.
The International Talent Event Amsterdam will take place on 21 April, and will be focused on connecting Amsterdam’s students to potential jobs. This annual ITEA event is a collaboration between the University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, INHolland University of Applied Sciences, amsterdam inbusiness and the Amsterdam Economic Board. Amsterdam’s exceptional talent pool, which includes international graduates from the city’s universities, will be able to mingle recruiters from large multinational corporations and young startups. The event will also feature workshops, seminars and coaching sessions to help students master the skills they need to enter the workforce.
Students will get tips on how to interview better and make their CVs stand out, and specialists will answer questions about the orientation year permit, the startup visa and more. A professional photographer from Amsterdam-based recruitment agency Young Financials will also be on hand to take LinkedIn profile pictures.
