Webinar work in Holland: Special permit for alumni of higher education

The registration deadline has expired.

Are you a non-EU international and almost graduating or ending your research in the Netherlands? Join this special webinar about rules and regulations after obtaining your degree or finishing scientific research. The Dutch government has made a special residence permit for highly educated persons aimed at – not only attracting but also – retaining them in the Netherlands. Why? Because we have a leading global knowledge economy and we need international talent to maintain this position. This residence permit is called The Orientation Year, also known as the Search year or in Dutch “Zoekjaar”.

In this 45 minutes interactive webinar, Sander van der Eijk (Manager Customer Communication at the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service – IND) and Floor van Donselaar (Policy Officer student mobility at Nuffic) will explain all you need to know about this Orientation Year permit.
You will also meet Vanessa Dos Santos, a graduated international student and now one of the Holland Alumni Career Ambassadors. Vanessa will share her experiences and tips and tricks on staying after your studies and how to find a job.

What will be in covered in this webinar:
  • What is an Orientation Year?
  • Who can apply?
  • How do I apply (including a demo on how to submit the applicaton)?
  • Tips and tricks on how to start your Career in Holland
  • How to stay in touch, connect and join the Holland Alumni Network
