Starting in December 2017, IHS will be organising a refresher course in collaboration with the Madras Institute for Development Studies (MIDS) and the IHS Alumni Association of India (IHSAAI), and will be open to alumni from the entire Southern Asian Region.
On 30 November 2017, the 19th edition of Global Careers Fair will take place. This online event will be focused on sharing a wide range of opportunities from the International Public Sector.

One possible solution is the 150,000 Chinese students and professionals in Europe. Due to the high level of university education they have achieved, this group provides an interesting alternative to locally educated Chinese talents.
In November 2017, IHS will be presenting a refresher course in collaboration with Dutch Research Institute for Transitions (DRIFT), Sustainability Institute (SI) and Holland Alumni Association South Africa (HAASA). The course will focus on the concept of "Food for Empowerment: Innovative, just, and sustainable approaches for making food accessible in urban settlements", and will be open to NFP alumni from the Southern African region.

On Sunday 8 October 2017 the 15th “i am not a tourist” Expat Fair will take place at the Beurs van Berlage. The Expat Fair in the heart of Amsterdam serves the international community living, working and studying in the Netherlands. The fair has become an annual institution, catering for newly arrived expats, long-standing residents, individuals and families alike.

From 4-15 September 2017, ISS will be organising a refresher course in Dodoma, Tanzania, in collaboration with the Insititute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP) by Professor Leo de Haan (ISS), Professor Adalbertus Kamanzi (IRDP), and Mr. Teun van Dijk (ISS). The central theme of the course will be: The role of the Local Government Planner ensuring Local Economic Development towards Food Security.
On 10 and 11 July 2017, Wageningen University and Research centre (WUR) is organising an alumni event in Rionegro, Colombia, in collaboration with the Universidad Católica De Oriente (UCO), La Corporación Colombiana de Investigación Agropecuaria (CORPOICA) and Deliflor BV, and is funded by Nuffic. The event is focused on smart technology in food and horticulture production for improved food security.
TOC Europe is the global meeting place for professionals in the ports, terminals, shipping lines, 3PLs & shipping sectors.
In June and July, IHS will be hosting a refresher course in cooperation with Hanoi Architectural University, Urban Management Faculty, Holland Alumni Network Vietnam and Nuffic NESO Vietnam. The topic is "Mainstreaming gender equity in and a rights-based approach to Vietnam's urban development policy: the transformative power of Strategic Action Planning". The course is open for NFP alumni from the Southeas Asian region.

The focus of the course is on the topic "Urban Space and Disaster: Building Resilience with Communities". The course is open for NFP alumni from the Southeast Asian region.

On 17 & 18 May 2017, F&A Next will be organising an event at the campus of Wageningen UR. The event is focussed on bringing together start-ups and investors in the Food and Agricultural industry (F&A).
From 17 - 19 May 2017, ISS will be organising an alumni event in cooperation with Université d'Abomey-Calavi with funding from EP Nuffic. The topic will be "Food Security in Francophone West Africa with special focus on natural resource management (land and water)". The course will be open to NFP and NICHE alumni who have studied at ISS or another Dutch institute for higher education, and currently resident in Benin or Burkina Faso, interested in policy-oriented social science on food security in Francophone West Africa and wish to be linked to the international community of professionals dealing with these issues.
