An alumni conference will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on 26 and 27 October 2016. Over 50 alumni, who are specialized in the field of water, will take part in this conference. All of them have studied in the Netherlands and most of these alumni received a scholarship of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP).
After these two days, we will have taken a close look at the challenges to sustainable development and livelihood in one of the largest deltas in the world: the Mekong Delta. We receive many recommendations and solutions from high profile keynote speakers as Mr Martijn van der Groep and Dr Andrew Wyatt. All of them are experts and play a role in Mekong Delta plan for Vietnam.
Besides, some parallel sessions are run by Holland Alumi. The topics range from technical aspects in water to societal projects in increasing awareness to this crucial part of Vietnam. This really shows the "power from within" of Holland Alumni, who studied in the Netherlands and use what they have learnt to build up their country.
